According to a recent study by Shiny Smile Veneers, Phoenix is one of the best cities to find love. Shiny Smile Veneers surveyed 1,305 Americans in 25 of the biggest cities to discover the biggest deal breakers and red flags for singles in each city. Just as one’s smile can hold a lot of power when it comes to making a connection with someone, so can many other qualities, such as hygiene, employment status, personality and more. All these qualities can affect the outcome of finding love.
While each person has different conditions when it comes to finding love, there are specific red flags and deal breakers that are more common in certain cities than others. Additionally, residents in some cities have found it easier to meet someone without red flags than others.
Among the 25 cities surveyed, Phoenix ranks No. 9 for cities where it is easiest to find someone with no red flags. Although 79% of all respondents in the survey said it’s difficult to find someone to date who shows no red flags, Phoenix respondents have found it easier to meet someone without red flags than respondents in other cities.
In Phoenix, the top deal breaker for singles is drinking alcohol, while the top red flag is when someone is constantly on their phone. Additionally, less than half of Phoenix residents reported having been ghosted by someone they were seeing, adding to the city’s positive environment for finding love.
Overall, bad hygiene, being racist and being self-absorbed were the top deal breakers for Americans, while the three biggest red flags in dating are found in those who don’t ask get-to-know-you questions, are constantly on their phone and talk about their ex. On dating profiles, blank bios, photos with filters and wedding photos are the biggest red flags.
