Although the end of MLB spring training season can be a bit gloomy, Arizona Foothills has partnered with W Scottsdale and J Group Media to present a farewell event that will, without a doubt, brighten your spirits and allow the sports season to go out with a bang. Mark your calendars for the 2011 Fashion-A-Ball, taking place at the hip and happening W Scottsdale on Friday, March 25 at 8 p.m., and say your goodbyes to spring training with baseball legends and beauties, and discover this spring’s hottest styles on an above-water runway, all to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
The Fashion
It’s hard to beat last year’s event, which brought more than 2,000 b-ball fans to the party that featured some of the biggest names in the league. But this year, the event will become an extravaganza with an exciting fashion show celebrating, not only the season of spring training, but also the season’s hottest new trends in fashion. Taking place at the W’s famed WET rooftop pool deck, the gorgeous models will make their way down a giant W-shaped runway on the water, donning looks from the Indah bathing suit line as seen in Sports Illustrated 2011 Swimsuit issue, courtesy of Deegie’s Carma, incredible handcrafted jewelry by Isaac’s Jewelers and men’s fashions by Alastaire Grey, maker of men’s custom sport and evening wear. It will be ground-breaking (not literally)!
The Rides
Ladies you’ll definitely get your fashion fix, but be sure bring your man because he’ll be surrounded by sweet “Player” rides as he enters, including top of the line Mercedes, Porsche, and Ferraris courtesy of Luxor Auto Group.
The Cocktails
Guests can cool down with Shade and “glowing” cocktails. Shade, W Scottsdale’s open-air destination nightlife lounge, will be mixing up signature cocktail infused with vitaminwater zero Glow! This all-new flavor will leave you glowing as it promotes healthy skin, hair and eyes. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from each of these cocktail will benefit charity.
