Annual Sedona VortiFest Musical Festival & Experience Returns Labor Day Weekend

Sedona VortiFest, Arizona’s premier music festival and experience, returns to beautiful Red Rock Country for its fourth year on Saturday, September 2 from noon to 9 p.m. for an exciting start to Labor Day weekend that is sure to dazzle crowds from across the Southwest.

The festival will take place at the breathtaking Posse Grounds Pavilion Amphitheater stage, featuring jaw-dropping views of Sedona’s red rock formations, an impressive lineup of local live entertainment, food and beverage offerings plus Sedona Vortifest’s first “Taste of the World” International Food Fair.

The event will be headlined by Phoenix’s 16-piece all star ensemble, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, and Sedona’s own desert rockers, decker, who will both ignite the crowd with energetic and masterful performances. The two acts will be joined by South Africa hip hop legend Biggy, along with The Bergamot, Sedona locals Rivers Run Wild and Damiyr, as well as Earth Surface People and Ellie Fern.

While music is the medium, Sedona VoritFest is more than just a music festival—it’s an experience designed to bolster Sedona’s greater community and local culture. The one-day event presents an opportunity for local Verde Valley residents and visitors alike to participate in a host of music, craft food and beverage offerings, artisan shopping and fun activities that have drawn in audiences from across the country for three years running.

This year, the festival will debut its “Taste of the World” International Food Fair featuring food vendors from around the Southwest and delivering a delicious and eclectic offering of ethnic food from around the world. The event will also host Vendor Village, where regional artists, craftsmen and brands will showcase their goods, as well as a Kids Village featuring a host of activities for kids to enjoy.

Created in 2021 by local community members and artists David Schmidt, Rachel Grant and Brandon Decker, Sedona VortiFest was born out of a desire to bring back live music and community events to Sedona after the pandemic shutdown of 2020.

“VortiFest is all about community,” says Sedona VortiFest Co-founder Decker. “It allows both locals and visitors to the area to experience the magic of Sedona’s unique culture. It’s a special place for kids to enjoy their first music festival and for local businesses to join together in community.”

Pre-sale tickets for the event are $40 and tickets purchased at the door are $50. Limited stage-side lounge VIP seating is available for $125 and includes food, a private bar and bathrooms. The event takes place at 525 Posse Ground Road in Sedona, Ariz. On-site parking will be available in addition to overflow parking with provided shuttle service.
