The country’s most attended polo event returns to Scottsdale for its 12th year this weekend. The annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships will be back at WestWorld of Scottsdale on Saturday, November 4.
The lineup features players from across Europe and the U.S., including the country’s top polo players. There will be four matches throughout the day as well as special events and opportunities.
The gates of WestWorld open at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, kicking off the event with the first match between Texas Garland Polo Team vs. PRIDE USA Polo Team at 10 a.m. At 11:55 a.m, a fashion show produced by Phoenix Fashion Week will begin. This show is hailed as the world’s longest catwalk, as models walk across the entire polo field.
Match 2: Arizona Polo Club vs. USA Women’s Team will start at 12:15 p.m. At 1:45 p.m., dogs will hit the catwalk at the Canine Couture fashion show presented by Lugari Pet Salon, where three lucky pups will take home awards. Match 3 between the Aspen Valley Polo Club vs. Wales Polo Team will begin at 2:15 p.m. The last match between North Scottsdale Polo Team vs. New Orleans Polo Club starts at 3:45 p.m.
Be sure to go to the Sunset Afterparty once the Championships wrap up. Held at The Riot House Day Club on the side of the field, this party will have live music and plenty of drinks starting at 4 p.m. See performances by DJ Chromeo and Lance Fairchild.
Besides polo, the event has a horse show, a sneak peak at Barrett-Jackson’s next car auction, shopping, food trucks and photo opportunities. Make sure to stop by the food court for Harkins popcorn, wine tastings by Sanderson Lincoln, beverages by Stella Artois and more.
