El Mexcellente! Cinco de Mayo Block Party
Join Tempe’s biggest block party hosted by neighbors Canteen Modern Tequila and Fat Tuesday. The Mill Avenue fiesta will feature $2 Corona beers and $4 margaritas until 6:30 p.m, amid DJs spinning all night.

Cinco de Mayo Salsa Festival
This sixth annual Cinco de Mayo Salsa Festival features a salsa competition by Valley chefs from the Spotted Donkey Cantina, Palo Verde and others. Herradura will provide tequila samples, the Bakery Cafe will serve Mexican desserts and the Boulders Resort will feature an outdoor grill with tacos al carbon and tostadas de carnitas.

El Hefe Cinco de Mayo Block Party
With two big parties lasting the entire weekend, El Hefe Super Macho Taqueria invites party-goers to indulge in Beer-garitas and tacos Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. At 7 p.m., watch the Mayweather vs. Cotto middleweight boxing match inside or on the patio. On Sunday, there will be a beanbag tournament with a $500 grand prize.

Macayo’s Depot Cantina
The Mexican restaurant and bar hosts a huge Cinco de Mayo party, with the Peak 98.7 broadcasting live. There will be food and drink specials all day, including $7 Patron margaritas, $5 house margaritas and $2 Dos Equis beers. The live music lineup features Jeff Clay Band, Kyle Phelan and Wayside. DJ Area 4 will play on the Caboose Patio.

Dos Gringos Cinco de Mayo Block Party
Dos Gringos does it big for Cinco. The bar opens at 10 a.m. for tequila earlybirds. Then, a larger block party starts at 1 p.m. featuring Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds from the Vans Warped Tour, as well as Veragroove, Pacific Dub and Herb N Life onstage. Get your tickets early online.
