With October less than a week away, that can only mean one thing…Halloween! Pumpkins and fake cobwebs are cute, but let’s cut to the chase – if you love to be scared for the thrill or just enjoy seeing other people freak out, you’ve got a serious plight for fright. Get ready for hair-raising chills and bloodcurdling screams when you check out one or more of these hot Halloween haunted houses located about the Valley!
1. 13th Floor Phoenix
What: At 60,000 square feet, the house takes visitors from a traditional spooky mansion to an abandoned asylum, then to a pirate ship and finally into a house chased by zombies.
When: 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 29, and Oct. 30-31. 7-10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays (except Oct. 30) in October, Wednesdays starting Oct. 12, Tuesdays starting Oct. 18, and Oct. 24.
Where: 2814 W. Bell Road, Phoenix.
Admission: $25.
2. The Nest on the Gila River Reservation
What: A traditional haunted house, 3-D maze and pitch-black labyrinth.
When: 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 8, then Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 13 to Oct. 31.
Where: Rawhide, 5700 W. North Loop Road, Gila River Reservation.
Admission: $25.
3. Chambers of Fear
What: Get ready for fun, food and fright! Named ‘Top Haunt’ in 2010, Graveyard Entertainment presents this horror house that includes a full schedule of events, including live music and a car show to a pumpkin patch and business expo.
When: 7-10 p.m. Thursday and Sunday and 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, September 29 through October 31. Starting Monday October 31, open all week from 7-10 p.m.

Admission: $18 (General).
4. AZ Field of Screams
What: AZ Field of Screams is a haunted cornfield maze planted over an old cemetery. The dead are now seeking revenge on anyone trespassing their grounds. Do you dare enter where your most horrifying dreams become reality?! Don’t let what happened to the others happen to you! Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. When: 6-10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays and 6 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays September 30 to special close on Monday October 31, 6-10 p.m.

Admission: $15. Opening Night Haunt ½ price, Saturday, October 1st only, $7.50. Ends October 31.
5. The Morbid Manor
What: The Annual Morbid Manor Charity Haunted House has 8,000 sq. ft. of individual scenes, all for charity. All donations benefit The American Heart Association, The Desert Southwest Alzheimers Association, The Arizona State Veterans Home and The Ryan McBride Memorial Music Fund.
When: 6:30-9:30 p.m. October 29-31.
Where: 7426 W. Foothill Drive, Glendale
Admission: Free admission but donations are accepted.
