Prost! The Best Oktoberfest Celebrations in Phoenix 2023

Oktoberfest is right around the corner, so don’t miss out on the big events here in Phoenix that will be bringing Germany’s famous annual festival to the Valley with authentic German traditions, food, beer and family-friendly fun.

Downtown Chandler Oktoberfest

The Downtown Chandler Oktoberfest returns to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park in the heart of the original town square on Saturday, September 30 from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, October 1 from 1 p.m. to  8 p.m. Pedal Haus Brewery and SanTan Brewing Company will be joining the celebration to offer local beer and canned cocktails, while other festivities include German fare, traditional games, live music and a family fun zone. Pre-sale tickets are available online for $5 off at-gate prices. Kids under 6 are free. 

Edelweiss Biergarten

This family-owned German-Hungarian restaurant in North Phoenix serves up traditional German and Hungarian cuisine and has the largest selection of German beers in Arizona. Guests can experience a taste of Oktoberfest all year round—the staff wears traditional German outfits and live, traditional polka music happens on the weekends. Four Peaks Oktoberfest 

Four Peaks Oktoberfest, a three-day festival filled with a load of entertainment and traditional German activities, returns for its 50th year on October 13 through October 15 featuring live music all weekend across two stages, including music headliners Hollywood Gods N’ Monsters, Miles Nielsen & Rusted Hearts and Southern Ways, among many others! 

New additions to the festival include thrilling rides; mesmerizing games and delicious food from key sponsor Frazier Shows; new adorable categories in the Weiner Dog Races, including Wheelin’ Weenies, Senior Saunter and Puppy Palooza; the highly anticipated return of the Local Celebrity Brat Eating Contest; Yoga in the Park with Southwest Institute of Healing Arts & Spirit of Yoga; and new food vendors, including gourmet pretzels from Prop + Pellar Pretzels. 

The longstanding event supports Tempe Sister Cities, an internationally recognized nonprofit founded in 1970. General admission is $20 on Friday and Saturday. Gilbert Oktoberfest

Come ready for a full day of music, dancing, great food and more at this year’s Gilbert Oktoberfest held on Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gilbert Civic Center. Ring in the autumn season with bratwurst, pretzels and German beer from some of Gilbert’s finest local craft breweries, along with traditional German festivities, including polka music, a brat eating contest, stein holding competition and live music from The Klaberheads and The Taide Band. Greenwood Brewing Oktoberfest Celebration & Beer Launch

Greenwood Brewing, the only female-owned and operated brewery in Phoenix, will be throwing an exciting weekend-long Oktoberfest celebration with the community, featuring an array of festive events and the highly-anticipated launch of a new beer. The event will kick off with an all-female comedy show on Friday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m., and continues with live music by local band Of Kith & Kin on Saturday, Sept. 30, as well as brewery yoga and tours on Sunday, Oct. 1, complemented by the brewery’s new exclusive Festbier—a light German lager brewed specifically for the occasion and enjoyed in a large Greenwood Oktoberfest mug. Oktoberfest at Brat Haus

Put on your lederhosen and dirndls and join Brat Haus for its annual Oktoberfest on October 7 from noon to 7 p.m. Along with its German-themed menu, the Old Town Scottsdale brewery and restaurant is hosting a party full of traditional festivities, including a Stein holding competition, firkin tapping and live music. 

Oktoberfest at Haus Murphy’s

Home to traditional German cuisine, Haus Murphy’s in historic Downtown Glendale is celebrating Oktoberfest on October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28 from 5 to 9 p.m.. Oktoberfest at Pedal Haus

In addition to attending the Downtown Chandler Oktoberfest Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, the locally owned and operated brewery Pedal Haus just launched its special Oktoberfest food menu and annual Oktoberfest beer! Guests can look forward to trying the beer-braised and grilled Pedal Haus beer brat served with haus mustard, onions, sauerkraut and fries; the Crispy pork Schnitzel served with wild mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and broccolini; the German style flammkuchen topped with mozzarella, bechamel, applewood smoked bacon, caraway seed and caramelized onions; and the Big Bavarian pretzel served with haus mustard, maple butter and Biere Blanche beer cheese. Plus, the brewery’s seasonal Oktoberfest beer, a German Style Pilsner, is back for celebrations. The flammkuchen is not available in Chandler, however all other Oktoberfest menu items can be enjoyed at all three locations.  

Oktoberfest at PHX Beer Co. 

The return of Oktoberfest means good beer and bratwursts. PHX Beer Co. will be running an Oktoberfest deal from September 16 through October 3, which includes their Oktoberfest beer and a signature braut for just $12 at the brewery’s Downtown taproom and Scottsdale location. 

Phoenix Oktoberfest Bar Crawl

Don your finest Oktoberfest attire for the Phoenix Oktoberfest Bar Crawl on Saturday, September 30 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and explore Phoenix’s best venues that will welcome you and your friends with beats of folk music and German fare for great deals. Scottsdale Oktoberfest Bar Crawl

Wickenburg Oktoberfest

One of last season’s hit events, the Wickenburg Oktoberfest returns in support of Arizona Craft Brewers Guild on October 14 from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at historic Stone Park. Guests will get to sample beers from some of Arizona’s best breweries, including Grand Canyon Brewing, Throne Brewing, LazyG Brewhouse, O.H.S.O. Brewery + Distillery, Corbett Brewing and The Brewery at Tirrito Farm, while German food trucks will be serving up savory, beer-friendly foods.
