Cool jazz and blues come together to create a red-hot music event at the Scottsdale Jazz, Blues & Brews Festival, which returns to the Scottsdale Civic Center on Saturday, April 27.
The Molina Fine Jewelers Scottsdale Jazz Festival Blues & Brews Presented by Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale will feature unforgettable performances from the nation’s top jazz and blues artists, along with savory food showcasing the flavors of New Orleans.
This year, the signature jazz event will take center stage at the Civic Center’s brand-new East Bowl, its largest amphitheater seating nearly 2,800 fans. It will welcome returning and first-time festival attendees to the captivating sounds and sights of New Orleans in a beautiful setting.
The festival is also partnering with the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships, America’s most-attended polo event, to add an extra level of polo-style luxury and excitement to the jazz event. The exciting partnership will introduce new elements to the festival just as the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Champions have done for years with the Scottsdale Polo Party and introduce thousands of polo fans to the emerging Scottsdale jazz scene.
New features to this year’s festival include Brew Garden Beer Tasting, which offers craft beers. A beer cicerone will also be on hand to answer any questions and guide guests through the tasting experience. Festival goers will also enjoy delicious world cuisine and beverages from top-shelf food vendors.
The Molina Fine Jewelers Scottsdale Jazz Festival Blues & Brews Presented by Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale is part of International Jazz Day, recognized as a UNESCO Global event. The festival was founded by noted local jazz musician Doc Jones, a professional musician, educator and recording artist for over 40 years.
“Prepare to be mesmerized by an exceptional lineup of renowned artists who will take you on a musical journey like no other,” says Jones. “Whether you are a long-time jazz fan or new to this music, this festival will transport you straight to the heart of jazz and blues culture in a spectacular setting in the heart of Scottsdale.”
General admission tickets to the Scottsdale Jazz Festival start at $45 online and $55 at the door. Reserved table seating, including stage seating, is also available for $775 to $3,050 per table. Beer-tasting tickets are sold separately and do not include entry into the event. Prices, if purchased in advance, are $16.50 for five beer tastings and $33 for ten beer tastings. Proceeds from the festival benefit the International Jazz Day AZ Foundation, which funds music programs for at-risk youth.
Gates to the event open at 3 p.m. with the acts beginning at 4 p.m. and scheduled to conclude at 10:30 p.m. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit ScottsdaleJazzFest.org.
