All That’s New to Look Forward to at the 2024 WM Phoenix Open

The 89th WM Phoenix Open presented by Taylor Morrison returns to TPC Scottsdale February 5–11, 2024, bringing together golf and entertainment for the “Greatest Show on Grass.” As one of the biggest sporting events in the country, the WM Phoenix Open promises an unforgettable week with some of the top names in golf and the hottest performing artists of today.

Here’s what to look forward to at next year’s Open and how the best-attended golf tournament in the world is committed to creating an impactful event for its fans, the environment and community.

Kicking off the week with a bang is the third edition of Concert in the Coliseum with global sensation Post Malone who will perform inside the loudest hole in golf on February 3. The GRAMMY Award-nominated and eight-time diamond-certified superstar will headline the event, which is held on a massive stage at the iconic 16th Hole just two days before the tournament. Nashville’s own ERNEST and DeeJay Silver are special guests that will open the Concert in the Coliseum. Dubbed the loudest hole in golf, Hole 16 at TPC Scottsdale hosts the biggest party scene in golf where thousands of spectators turn 16 into a stadium-like arena, cheering and jeering in ways you won’t see at any other golf event.

The entertainment continues with the Coors Light Birds Nest concert series on February 7–10 featuring back-to-back performances by A-list artists, including Hardy and Bailey Zimmerman, Dierks Bentley, Duran Duran, internationally-acclaimed DJ Kygo and special guest Sam Feldt. You can purchase tickets for the biggest afterparty in golf at www.coorslightbirdsnest.com/ticket-information.

Fans can expect just as much excitement on the field as some of the top PGA TOUR players come together to compete in “The People’s Open.” The field now features six of the Top-10 and 14 of the Top-30 players in the world including World No. 1 and back-to-back WM Phoenix Open champion Scottie Scheffler, 2023 FedExCup Champion Viktor Hovland (4), Xander Schauffele (5), Max Homa (7), Matt Fitzpatrick (8), reigning U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark (10), Jordan Spieth (13), Tyrrell Hatton (15), Sahith Theegala (20), Tony Finau (21), Sam Burns (24), Cameron Young (25), Rickie Fowler (26), Justin Thomas (28). As the back-to-back champion, Scheffler has his sights set on becoming just the second player in WM Phoenix Open history to win three years in a row since Arnold Palmer in 1961–1963.

In addition to the must-experience Hole 16, fans with general admission tickets will have access to several other viewing areas throughout the course, including The Fairway House Presented by Taylor Morrison, which sits at the highest point on the TPC Scottsdale grounds and features several food and beverage options, seating, shade and 360 views of four holes to catch all the PGA TOUR action. General admission tickets can also enter the Fan Zone where those looking to take a breather can enjoy the new and improved Fan Zone with double the size, better seating and the same incredible food from some of your favorite local eateries like Zinburger and Tortas Paquime. While there, fans won’t miss a lick of action thanks to video boards featuring up-to-date golf action.

Guests can further immerse themselves in the excitement of the WM Phoenix Open at Nine, one of the tournament’s latest on-course hospitality venues, offering a unique and up-close experience to witness the pros in action overlooking the challenging par-4 ninth hole. Adjacent to TPC Scottsdale, fans can also enjoy the city’s newest sports entertainment destination during tournament week at DraftKings Sportsbook, which features 2,700 square feet of video screens, a beautiful outdoor patio, live betting kiosks, VIP cabanas, fire pits and over 300 dedicated seats with views of every TV. Daily ticket options are available for two of these newest hospitality venues. The WM Phoenix Open and DraftKings officials announced the entertainment lineup for the new DraftKings 19th Hole After Party, which will include a special appearance by popular American DJ and music producer Steve Aoki, as well as a revolving lineup of DJ’s from around the world.

In addition to bringing fans unparalleled entertainment in golf and music, the WM Phoenix Open is a leader in sports sustainability with a commitment to leaving a positive impact on the environment through all tournament activities. Recognized as the “Greenest Show on Grass” for over a decade, the WM Phoenix Open is the largest zero waste event in the world where 100% of waste is recycled, composted, donated or used for energy conversion. Through this operational effort, not a single item from the tournament has gone to landfills, including cups, signs and containers.

While this is a golf tournament, it’s not just about sports — it’s also about giving back. The WM Phoenix Open is a philanthropic juggernaut that has powered Arizona for nearly a century with more than $190 million in charitable giving since its inception. The Thunderbirds, the tournament’s charitable arm and hosts, have raised more than $14.5 million in 2023 alone, demonstrating the Open’s commitment and mission to community engagement and development.

The WM Phoenix Open remains a bucket-list event on the PGA TOUR. Whether you’re a golf fanatic, prolific partier, concert connoisseur or you just have the fear of missing out (FOMO as the kids these days call it), the WM Phoenix Open has something for everyone. Join us Feb. 5–11, 2024 at TPC Scottsdale for the 89th edition of “The People’s Open.”
