Got Plans for the WNBA All-Star Games This Weekend? Here Are a Few Can’t-Miss Events!

The WNBA All-Star Games will return to Phoenix and the Footprint Center on July 19-20 for the third time in history. To commemorate, the city is rolling out a series of events and activities to celebrate women’s basketball in the Valley of the Sun. Check out our list below!

America’s Big Sister Fundraiser

On Thursday, July 18, America’s Big Sisters will host a silent auction at Randy’s Donuts, where they will auction off autographed items from NBA star Dwayne Wade. The NBA player was the brother of the nonprofit’s CEO, Tragil Wade-Johnson. In addition to the auctioned items, Randy’s Donuts will donate 15 percent of the proceeds from the event on Thursday to the organization.

WNBA All-Star Friday Night

The Footprint Center (201 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix) will host the WNBA’s annual Three-Point Contest and Skills Competition at 6 p.m. Fans and aspiring basketball players can test their skills on the same court where WNBA players play.

WNBA Live

On both Friday and Saturday, the WNBA is hosting a variety of panels and educational events at the Phoenix Convention Center (100 N. 3rd St., Phoenix). This event is free, but entrance to the contention center requires registration on the WBNA Events App. There will be player meet-and-greets and exclusive merch drops.

On Saturday at 11:30 a.m., La Crema Winery will host a panel between sports journalists Khristina Williams, Terrika Foster-Brasby and Greydy Diaz. During the event, fans can take an immersive look into the designs of the founder of the women’s sports streetwear brand Playa Society. From 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Microsoft and Jr. WNBA will host a learning experience for middle school students that combines basketball and STEM.

Mente x TOGETHXR Pop-Up

Lylo Swim Club (400 W. Camelback Road, Phoenix) will host a free event from 1-8 p.m. on Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. Attendees can receive mobile beauty services and enjoy a mental health day wellness festival in partnership with Mente. There will also be lively DJ performances and a WNBA All-Star Game watch party on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Junior WNBA Clinic

This Phoenix Mercury-sponsored event will host a basketball clinic for first- through sixth-grade girls at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex (9833 N. 25th Ave., Phoenix) from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. on Friday, July 19.
