Winter is finally over and spring, the Valley’s prime season and most joyous time of year, is upon us; which means it’s time to remove the extra clothing and some extra pounds. The fun begins bright and early at 9 a.m. and runs until 10 a.m. in the Nordstrom Court near White House | Black Market. Diet is a huge part of fitness and staying in shape so Scottsdale Nutrition Coach will be on hand providing nutritional tips and complimentary healthy snacks (www.scottsdalenutritioncoach.com). Loosen up after your workout with a soothing 5 to 10 minute massage by Massage Therapist Ellen Schawelson and then grab your morning coffee at Press Coffee Food Wine as they are generously giving a 15% off discount to Fitness Friday participants. There will also be fun raffle prizes from CityCenter of CityNorth retailers and fitness goal setting and coaching by lululemon (www.lululemon.com), which makes technical clothing for yoga, dancing, running, and most other sweaty pursuits while creating components for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives.

Other ways to exercise without breaking open your wallet before the summer heat:
- Hike Camelback
- Bike the 14-mile greenbelt trail that runs from Scottsdale to the Tempe Town Lake
- Run/Walk around the lake at Hayden and Chaparell in Scottsdale and do the provided exercises
- Grab some friends and start a game of volleyball, soccer or football at one of the many public parks

What a great idea! I haven’t been to the gym lin months (literally). The weather is just too nice to be cooped up inside, I prefer to run outside. I will totally attend the CityNorth yoga events!
Sounds great, but the last thing I want to do on Fridays is work out!
Fridays are notttt for working out in my book 🙂 sounds like something worth taking advantage of though.
