Arcis Golf Completes Multimillion-Dollar Transformation

Arcis Golf has unveiled the completion of a transformative, multimillion-dollar renovation to its two prestigious private golf facilities in Payson: The Rim Golf Club and The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines. The upgrades were designed to elevate the experience by enhancing dining, entertainment, and leisure offerings while embracing the mountain community’s unique lifestyle.

Nestled at 5,000 feet in Arizona’s stunning Mogollon Rim Country, The Rim Golf Club is surrounded by the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the United States. The club is known for its award-winning golf course, designed by Jay Morrish and the late Tom Weiskopf. It has earned recognition on the Golf Digest “Best Courses in Arizona” list and Golfweek’s 2025 “Top 200 Residential Courses in the U.S.”

As part of the renovation, the club’s modernized clubhouse now offers a sophisticated Napa Valley-inspired aesthetic, perfectly complementing its extensive wine program. The redesigned restaurant boasts panoramic views and has varied seating options, including counter-height community tables, booths, and banquettes.

The Rim’s culinary program embraces a sophisticated yet approachable menu featuring steaks, chops, burgers, pastas, and unique salads, complemented by an extensive wine list that highlights California’s top boutique wineries and emerging international varietals. The upgrades include an expanded fitness center, cardio equipment, saunas, and refreshed nail salon. Fitness classes are offered year-round.

The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines, known for its family-friendly atmosphere, has undergone a significant redesign. The lodge-inspired architecture has been enhanced with modern touches, including lounge seating in soft blue tones, hand-knotted area rugs, and rich metal/wood cocktail tables. The two-sided fireplace now features a large piece of art and a dramatic framed mirror, while potted trees throughout add texture and interest.

The bar area, crafted from locally sourced hickory, boasts a warm, inviting tone with an illuminated back bar and integrated televisions. The newly reimagined dining area provides a mix of seating options, including leather booths that offer outdoor views. For al fresco diners, the patio pavilion offers intimate nooks, group seating by the fireplace, and the flexibility to host special events. Weekly live music enhances the vibrant atmosphere.

The restaurant’s menu balances relaxed comfort and creative offerings, with classic American dishes like burgers and sandwiches alongside international flavors such as Korean Bao Buns. The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines, designed by David Graham and Gary Panks, is a challenging 7,000-yard course that also earned a spot on Golfweek’s 2025 “Top 200 Residential Courses in the U.S.”

Members enjoy dual access to two courses, multiple dining venues, fitness and wellness centers, tennis and pickleball courts, and family-oriented social programming. To learn more, visit arcisgolf.com.
