The Esplanade, an iconic business hub in Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor, has completed a $45 million renovation and unveiled a range of new amenities and services to transform the modern workplace. The four-building campus has undergone significant upgrades, adding approximately 30,000 square feet of new spaces designed to foster productivity, collaboration, and wellness.
The expanded campus now boasts a new conference center, a tenant lounge, a full-service restaurant, a fitness center, and enhanced lobby spaces. These improvements reflect a growing trend in commercial real estate to offer more than just office space; the goal is to create a connected, dynamic environment that supports work and well-being.
A key player in the transformation is Onsite, a platform that provides unparalleled service, advanced technology, and intelligent spaces. Onsite’s team includes five hospitality professionals who create a variety of “social workspaces” designed to promote connectivity among tenants and allow employees to integrate work and relaxation to boost performance.
“The upgrades set a new bar for office amenties in the market,” Bryan Taute, executive vice president at CBRE, said. “Combining highly serviced conferencing, food and beverage options, and health and wellness facilities, the Esplanade has elevated what was already the city’s most connected office environment.”
The 16,000-square-foot, two-story central amenity building is at the heart of the campus. This modern space includes Hearsay, a new restaurant led by Chicago-based Episcope Hospitality that offers an inviting atmosphere complete with a vinyl collection, private liquor lockers, and a dining room. Delivery is available to tenants via a dedicated reservation system.
The second floor of the building, a newly added vertical expansion, provides health and wellness space. This fitness center includes a state-of-the-art gym, locker rooms, and indoor and outdoor studio areas. Daily fitness classes are offered, including yoga, HIIT, and meditation.
The Esplanade now features an 8,000-square-foot conference center with a range of spaces designed to accommodate a variety of needs, including a large training room for up to 150 people, an elevated boardroom with a private outdoor patio, collaborative brainstorming areas, and a streaming studio for podcasting and live streaming events. A convenient grab-and-go coffee shop and marketplace called Perks is also located within the conference center.
The campus grounds have also been redesigned, incorporating new pavers, planters with lush greenery, and a new shade structure that runs down the center of the campus. A grand gateway entrance facing Camelback Road adds a striking focal point, while the overall transformation enhances the Esplanade’s pedestrian-friendly environment.
Three new restaurant concepts, set to open in the spring of 2025, will join the lineup. These include The Little Pickle, a deli serving bagels and house-smoked salmon; 151 Tavern, an upscale bar featuring a menu of bistro classics; and Camello, a vibrant, chef-driven Mexican restaurant with a theatrical flair.
