Taylor Swift: A Singer Who Has A Song For Every Emotion

Taylor Swift: A Singer Who Has A Song For Every Emotion

“If You’re lucky enough to be different, never change” – Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has the uncanny ability to make everyone feel like they already know her… even if they have never met. Swift has the talent to write songs about every emotion she has ever felt and can make it relatable to anyone. We mostly know Taylor for writing about love and heartbreak. Yet, she also sings about how you need to follow  your dreams, she talks about her friends and family, and precious memories traveling the world on tour. In a world of superficiality, jealousy, and deception she can make tomorrow feel like a brand new day full of hope, love, and excitement. Taylor’s tenacity inspires us to find “A Place in this World.”

Her lyrics, which she used to co-write and now writes independently, are brutally honest but also tell a story. This factor makes her music utterly different from her musical contemporaries such as Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj, or Rihanna. Even her style and image is different from her colleagues too since “[she] doesn’t want people to think of [her] as sexy, [she] likes to wear pretty dresses and doesn’t feel comfortable taking [her] clothes off.”

“To me, Fearless is not the absense of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. To me, Fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death.” – Taylor Swift

Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13, 1989, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. Her favorite season happens to be Christmas because she spent most of her early years on her family’s Christmas tree farm. Who wouldn’t love to smell the sweet pines everyday? No wonder she is always able to stay cheerful! When Taylor was 10 she followed her grandmother’s footsteps, who was a professional opera singer, and started singing at many local events. After singing “The Star- Spangled Banner” at a Philadelphia 76ers game when she was 11, she was determined to learn music and play the guitar. Her passion for music sparked and she convinced her family to move to Hendersonville, Tennessee, close to Nashville to pursue a career.

The Bluebird Café was where Swift was discovered by Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Records after an unbelievable performance. Once her first single, “Tim Mcgraw” was released in 2006, people knew she was not going anywhere and there were big things to come from her.  Swift has been nominated a total of 144 times and has won 81 awards, including Entertainer of the Year, 4 Grammy Awards and 7 American Music Awards…  oh by the way, she is only 21! Swift’s latest album, ‘Speak Now’, came out last October and sold more than a million copies in its first week of release. That’s more than any other album in the past 15 years…. no big deal!

Taylor just created her new fragrance line called Wonderstruck. Swift believes “I share personal life experiences through my music, and my fragrance will allow me to share these experiences with my fans in a completely different and new way. Falling in love is a moment every girl daydreams about and Wonderstruck represents that magical feeling of promise and hope and intrigue. It was fascinating to learn that you can layer so many different scents to create a beautiful end result.” We are all very excited to smell her new perfume and if the smell lives up to this fairytale!

“No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.” – Taylor Swift

“When I was a little girl I used to read fairy tales. In fairy tales you meet Prince Charming and he’s everything you ever wanted. In fairy tales the bad guy is very easy to spot. The bad guy is always wearing a black cape so you always know who he is. Then you grow up and you realize that Prince Charming is not as easy to find as you thought. You realize the bad guy is not wearing a black cape and he’s not easy to spot; he’s really funny, and he makes you laugh, and he has perfect hair.” – Taylor Swift
