FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 30, 2011) – At the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, it’s pretty and pink and with good reason. The resort’s Willow Stream Spa is kicking off its annual “Power of Pink” program, while Stone Rose Lounge is holding “A Pink Affair,” both to benefit the Phoenix Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

With the weather cooling off, what a great reason to enjoy the outdoor patio: pink drinks, pretty pink lights and pink attire all to celebrate for a cure. Stone Rose Lounge is having “A Pink Affair”, 7 p.m. – midnight, Saturday, October 15, with live entertainment by Chuck E. Baby & the All-Stars and a silent auction to benefit the Komen Phoenix Affiliate. Auction items include resort getaways, dinners at La Hacienda and BOURBON STEAK, treatments at Willow Stream Spa, along with other sought-after prizes. Themed cocktails featured will be the “Pink Ribbon-tini” with peach and passion fruit and the “Great Cause-Mo” made with cranberry and pomegranate. The event is free to the public, valet is complimentary and pink attire will be rewarded.
Willow Stream Spa – “Power of Pink”
Now through November 30, 2011, when guests of Willow Stream Spa choose one of the “Power of Pink” treatments, 5 percent of the proceeds will benefit Komen:
The “Pink Massage” is a 60-minute therapeutic massage provided in Willow Stream’s “Power of Pink” room complete with pink walls painted in the official Komen for the Cure colors, along with pink blankets provided by Komen and a pink ribbon plaque with inspirational phrases. There is also a dedication poster for guests to sign their name or the name of a loved one. The Pink Massage is $159.*
The 60-minute “Pink Pedicure” in the Willow Stream Salon offers a decadent pomegranate sugar scrub using the whimsical pink Whish product line and the toes can even be topped off with OPI’s pink polish. The Pink Pedicure is $89.*
The “Tickle Me Pink” Package is a pampering Pink Massage in the “Power of Pink” room followed by a Pink Pedicure, all for the special rate of $199.
The Shops at the Fairmont Scottsdale are offering pink products in October such as “Love This Life” flower tees supporting breast cancer awareness, pink note pads, pens, compacts and plush robes.
On Monday, November 14, Willow Stream Spa will host “Hooray for the 3-Day” with specials to celebrate and pamper participants, friends and supporters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. Pink balloons, pink cookies and pink lemonade add to the festivities, with 5 percent of Pink treatments benefitting Komen.
