“We are living in a world that’s overwhelmingly digital, and it’s taking a toll on our health,” Founder Leah Williams said. “The Barefoot Trail is here to remind us that nature is powerful medicine. Simply spending time outside, unplugged and connected to the earth, can have profound effects on our well-being.”

Children now spend an average of 7.5 hours per day in front of screens, dropping physical activity and outdoor engagement to an all-time low. This experience offers a much-needed solution by creating an engaging outdoor space for kids and adults alike to reconnect with the great outdoors.

“This season, we’ve expanded our offerings to provide even more opportunities for adventure, relaxation, and education, whether you’re a first-time visitor or a returning guest,” Williams said.

Arizona’s Education Savings Account (ESA) funds can now be used for tickets and passes, allowing homeschoolers and students to experience The Barefoot Trail as an educational aspect. STEAM Booklets, available for direct purchase, introduce attendees to grounding and reflexology, complete with a reflection art page and a detailed foot reflexology map.

The addition of new swing sets encourages free play and movement, while the trail has been updated with improved surfaces and reflexology stations for enhanced health benefits.

The trail is an interactive experience rooted in six core values: move naturally, ground and restore, learn and explore, inspire young adventurers, heal through nature, preserve and protect.

The trail will be open seven days a week for the 2025 season, allowing visitors to experience the benefits of walking barefoot all week long. Flexible ticketing options, including individual and season passes, as well as gift cards, are available. Day passes are $14 for adults, $12 for kids.
