Little monsters have a lot of tabs to keep on the Mother Monster. Lady Gaga is now taking over Barneys New York for a Christmas campaign and window display called “Gaga’s Workshop.”
Starting in mid-November through January 2, “Gaga’s Workshop will be brought to life throughout the fifth floor of the Men’s Store and the store’s iconic Madison Avenue windows,” Barneys NY announced yesterday.
The fifth floor currently houses men’s co-op, but will become vacant in October. Gaga/Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti and installation artist Eli Sudbrack of Assume Vivid Astro Focus will help Gaga see out her creatively insane vision.
Gaga isn’t just taking the reins on decor, but she’s also designing a range of exclusive, small gift items, such as candies, toys, apparel, accessories and cosmetics, which will be sold in the workshop.
What else can we expect? “Jewelry made entirely of rock candy; lipsticks in special Gaga red or pink hues; lip-shaped, hand-painted dark chocolate, and a Rubik’s Cube,” according to WWD.
Barneys NY will donate 25 percent of sales from all of those items to a charity of Gaga’s choice. If you’re not in the Big Apple, don’t fret; a selection of Gaga-infused merchandise will be available on a Barneys “microsite” and in select Barneys stores.
Meanwhile, Gaga will remain as a monthly columnist with high-fashion magazine V, besides doing her regular music thing.
I feel like this is totally possible and doesn’t come as a complete surprise. After all, it’s Lady Gaga.
There is noticeably a lot to identify about this. I think you made certain nice points in features also.
