If you loved Phoenix Fashion Week as much as we did, then get ready for Scottsdale’s annual, high-style and high-energy three-day event at the Scottsdale Waterfront! Scottsdale Fashion Week, running Nov. 5 through 7, celebrates fashion and lifestyle, as it set to include both national and internationally renowned names this year, along with a vibrant wearable Artwalk.
Fashion Week is not only an excuse to have a fabulous fashion show and peruse the latest styles, the event benefits charitable organizations in our community, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Childhelp, Make-A-Wish-Foundation and Fresh Start Women’s Foundation.
This year’s event kicks off with a unique twist. On Thursday, Nov. 5 after the with Opening Presentations (starting at 6 p.m.), SFW will present the Wearable ArtWalk Preview Fashion at the SouthBridge Open Runway. The Wearable ArtWalk, running from 7 to 9 p.m., is a Milan-style runway show with models showcasing notable one-of-a-kind pieces of ‘art-to-wear’ clothing and jewelry from nationally and internationally acclaimed wearable artists. More than 20 galleries along Main Street, Marshall Way and Stetson Avenue will be in the spirit of the evening with provocative shows and exhibits.
Friday and Saturday (Nov. 6 and 7) are packed full of more than two-dozen runway shows for the fashionistas’ viewing pleasure. All the fun will take place at the main, 80-foot, tented runway in the Scottsdale Waterfront at Scottsdale and Camelback Roads. At the same time, viewers can visit the outdoor runway just across from the Arizona canal at Southbridge that will feature up-and-coming designers.

I love that these events help charities.
This event is much more put together than Phoenix Fashion week, it’s too bad we could not combine the efforts.
combine the efforts of Phx and Scottsdale fashion weeks and have a much better show/turnout.
I agree, why not combine both events.
This looks to be a great event.
