A typical day in my life includes… wake up early, go for a sunrise hike, drink coffee, wake up my boys for breakfast, host an auction, go to meetings and consultations, go home, play Legos and/or swim with the kids, ride my mountain bike, do some work online, maybe write a blog post, and get some sleep.
I was born… in Monmouth, Illinois.
My favorite thing about Arizona… is that there are so many opportunities to be outside!
I’m listening to… anything and everything. Coffee house music, reggae, EDM, Sunday night blues on KJZZ, and Johnny Cash.
My family… is the most important thing to me.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… Dumbledore and Hagrid, or Tim Ferriss.
One thing I cannot live without… my cellphone.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a radio DJ. I have more fun auctioneering though and I’m not stuck in studio!
I’m inspired by… all of the groups that I get to work with.
The one person who motivates me is… my wife.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… for people to treat people like people.
The perfect day would be… paddle boarding on a nice, glassy lake, hanging outside with my kids and exploring, taking a nap in my hammock, going for a sunset ride on my mountain bike, and a homemade steak dinner with the family.
My first job was… working on a food truck with my mom at auctions.
My favorite escape… is riding my mountain bike on South Mountain or spending an hour at the float spa.
My life… is an ever-evolving adventure!
I’m currently working on… hosting a “Lunch & Learn” seminar about fundraising trends, building a podcast, and preparing for the international auctioneers championship.
Always… smile!
Never… give up.
