As we head into day two of New York Fashion Week, we hope that you enjoyed watching, tweeting, and ogling over some amazing Spring collections as much as we did on day one. Here is what Style Files is loving so far.
Tadashi Shoji is widely known for his beautiful, delicate, and often saturated eveningwear, and though we did see much of that in his Spring show, Shoji wowed us with looks we could wear during the day.
This barely-there pink dress with plack plaid stitching and lace is très feminine and RTW in its most literal sense–the perfect day dress.
If we weren’t already suprised at Shoji’s diversion, he hits us with this uber chic lace top and short combo. We can see our favorite cool girls in this flirty number.
Nicholas K is a brother-sister team from our lovely state of Arizona! Having grown up near a reseveration in Tucson, the duo drew their inspiration from Native American culture.
We are especially loving the perfetly executed draping. The pieces look luxe while also maintaining an ease that makes the collection quite successful.
When seeing any given BCBG Max Azria show, there tends to be a sense of “This looks really familiar” or “Haven’t I seen that before.” Of course, it is familiar in that we saw something very samiliar in last season’s BCBG show. However, this season felt new and fresh, and according to the designers that is exactly the case.
They used a men’s shirting material to create fun pieces from crop tops and dresses to this adorable cut-out jumpsuit.
We are also big fans of the softer floral looks.
