As I sit here this morning staring at my limp looking hair, I am perplexed… do I go for the chop again? Or do I keep it where it’s at and try to kill it with a little hair kindness?
The other night my hubby and I were at a dance concert and though majority of the dancers had long hair there were two girls with pixie short hair who seemed to stand out. I’m not sure if they seemed so much more Fossie-esque and it brought me right back to Liza in Cabaret or if they just looked so much more fresh onstage than the girls with the ponys and buns. Either way, it’s decision time….
Maybe all this obsession about hair has come forth because of Serge Normant. Strange as it sounds the uber, mega hair god will soon launch his own line of hair perfectors and since I read about them two months ago the anticipation is getting to me. If you aren’t familiar SN is the guy who makes people like Julia, SJP, Anne, Scarlett, Ellen Barkin and a slew of ridiculously perfect super models look a-maz-ing.
His resume of stars and editorials is too long to count…but trust me he is the gold standard! His eponymus line is launching in just days and I am dying to try it! Maybe it will give my lifeless locks the much needed ooh –la-la they have been waiting for.
So what is different about Serge’s hair care line, other than the fact that he the master himself developed it? Well, Mr Normant worked with a skin care chemist (instead of just a regular chemist) because as we know, the hair is an extension of the skin. And being a skin care expert kind of girl… I find it rather genius!
The line will consist of eight products including a sulfate-free shampoo, conditioner, a dry shampoo, pomade, hair spray and a sheer dry oil finishing spray and two others that adds sheen without weighing hair down. Of course Serge has long been associated with John Frieda, the salon and the hair care line, so I am curious to see how SN’s line will differ from Frieda’s line.
Normant himself says one of his favorite products is the Pomade because it’s not greasy at all but it adds texture and definition without making the hair look stringy. I can say this, if he is right, sign me up, this may just be the pomade I have been dreaming about my entire life… or at least the last ten years…
The line officially launches in December. You can find more info about Serge and the line at sergenormant.com
