Sola Salons is reshaping the way beauty professionals build their businesses, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to thrive in an independent, flexible, and aesthetically pleasing environment. By providing space for beauty professionals to rent, Sola Salons allows them to create a personalized, relaxing atmosphere for their clients while maintaining control over their business practices.
Rather than the traditional structure, where beauty professionals are employees, Sola Salons gives them the autonomy to run their own small businesses. They rent private, fully equipped studio spaces within a larger, salon facility. This setup allows each beauty professional to build their brand, set their prices, and cultivate client relationships.
Scott Lefkowitz, the owner of Sola Salons Phoenix, explains, “With Sola Salons, I’m helping beauty professionals build up their own businesses, so they have a vested interest in providing the highest level of customer service.”
This means they get to work in a space that aligns with their personal style and offers a relaxing, welcoming environment for their clients, while also maintaining the freedom and flexibility to grow their own business.
Lefkowitz’s transition from the automotive industry to the wellness sector may seem like an unusual pivot, but his decision to join the Sola network was driven by a desire to create a customer-focused, positive experience. Having spent 15 years running several AAMCO locations across Phoenix, Lefkowitz was used to managing businesses, but he realized that the automotive industry often didn’t provide the best customer experience. In contrast, Sola Salons allows him to offer a service where people are excited to visit.
“No one really wants to be at an automotive business because it means that there is something
wrong with their car,” Lefkowitz said. “With Sola Salons we are preparing to open a space that
people are choosing to come to and will get joy from being at.”
Sola Salons Phoenix opened its doors in March 2025, marking the first of three locations. Lefkowitz plans to expand further, with a new Scottsdale location scheduled to open in September and a third location in the Metro Phoenix area expected to open within the next two years.
As the demand for independent, high-quality beauty services grows, Sola Salons is creating a network of salon spaces that empower beauty professionals and enrich customer experiences.
