Last Friday, Style Files was invited to one of the Arizona Spa Girls Summer Spaaah Series events. The annual event(s), which are held at several top resorts and destination spas throughout the state were created to bridge the gap between luxury and value…and boy do they do a great job!
This particular event was held at Spa Avania at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort at Gainey Ranch. Upon our arrival Style Files was greeted at the registration desk where we received a bottle of cold Smart water (a much appreciated gesture in this heat), and envelope with our ticket to redeem our spa tote bag full of goodies and a certificate to come back and enjoy a 60-minute spa treatment! Both of which come with your ticket to any/every Spa Series event.
Once inside, we were welcomed by Arizona Spa Girls Cofounder and Producer, Lisa Kasanicky. Our gracious host told us enjoy to exploring all of the amenities the salon and spa has to offer, but more importantly to have fun. The open house style evening party is a chance for guests who may feel apprehensive or intimated by the spa experience to get acquainted with the surroundings and staff in a fun and relaxing environment. And just to make sure that you really feel at home, there are lovely Spa Girls to guide you through the evening, a wonderful gift to first timers!
The evening is lavish indeed, with complimentary wine samplings, delicious deserts, and decadent bites (the Hyatt chefs make an amazing salmon). After enjoying an array of gourmet delights (or before if you prefer) party guests are treated to mini spa services, which at Spa Avania ranged from HydraFacials and Soothing Hand Treatments to a Knot-Buster back Massage and Stress-be-Gone Foot Reflexology.
The best part of course is that not only are guests getting a luxurious spa experience for a great price, but also a percentage of every ticket sold goes directly to Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, a Phoenix-based organization educated to empowering women across the Valley area to help themselves. The organization provides just about every service a woman could need from yoga classes to financial education. At this event Arizona Spa Girls was able to raise over an additional thousand dollars for the organization by raffling off extravagant prizes (a Moroccan Oil gift bag was one of the many coveted prizes).
As the evening came to a close women stormed the reception desk ready to book their spa treatments and return for another day of relaxation at Spa AVania… no doubt a sign that the Summer Spaaah Series event was a success!
If you’ve never attended a Summer Spaaah Series event I highly recommend it. There are still 4 wonderful Spas to explore before the end of the season… and I think we might just see you at one of them. For more information please visit summerspaseries.com
