From Sarah Jessica Parker to Kimye, stars came dressed to impress at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala in New York City Monday evening.
This year, the annual Met gala celebrates the opening of the ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ costume exhibit hosted within the new $40 million Ana Wintour Costume Center that’s named after the famed Vogue editor herself. James was a mid-20th century designer who specialized in magnificent gowns with intricate draping.
The theme of the evening brought flowing gowns down the red carpet, while dapper gentlemen were asked to dress in white tie.
