I can’t help but be bummed when I hear all the bad economy news lately. More layoffs, more stores closing. More layoffs, more stores closing. Not to mention people losing their houses left and right, it’s enough to make all of us just want to close our eyes until it’s all over.
Needless to say, it is refreshing to see good news out there, especially when it’s about businesses thriving, optimistic and ready for things to take a turn. And even if it’s just a tad I figure, we should all do our bit to help out our country and shop a bit! After all, I’m sure there’s a dress in that closet that needs to retire, a blouse whose buttons are far past the replacement point or maybe you’re just aching for something brand spanking new. Because even when times are tough, it’s O.K. to give yourself a treat every once in a while.
So once you’re good and ready to do your bit of contribution/self-indulgence, check out Carole’s Couture, a boutique I recently discovered at the Scottsdale Promenade. Located in North Scottsdale off of Frank Lloyd Wright and Scottsdale Road, the women’s boutique is chock-full of cute clothes and accessories.
First, lower those eyebrows and don’t be dismayed by its strip mall location; Carole’s Couture carries tons of high-end designer lines you’ll totally love. I promise. Think Elizabeth and James, Badgley Mischka, Diane von Furstenberg, Catherine Malandrino, Robert Rodriguez, Mike & Chris and Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent, to name a few.
Owner Carol Peterson hand-picks the items in her store with her savvy taste as a former fashion consultant. You’ll find everything from vintage jewelry, cashmere sweaters and cocktail dresses to evening gowns and the latest pair of designer jeans.
And if that’s not enough to sway your interest, you’ll be happy to know that Carole’s Couture prides itself on having amazing customer service. And we all know how hard that can be to find these days! Carole’s Couture fashion specialists are waiting to help you with a complete head-to-toe look.

I didn’t know this place existed–I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the heads up!
thanks for the info- i didn’t know about it either.
I stumbled in this place during lunch one day at the Promenade. SERIOUSLY cute stuff – great dresses!
This place is near where I live. I stopped in one day and spent an hour in there, so cute! They are really nice in there and they have a good selection of different high-end brands. Although I didn’t see Elizabeth and James the time I went…oh well time to go back!
I would have never had thought to look there. Thanks for the mention; I will definitely have to stop in next time I am down that way.
I have always seen this boutique but never knew it had such cute clothes! Makes me feel really dumb and lazy for not stopping in, ugh. Looks like I have been missing out, for sure!
This is such a cute shop. It is across from Pizza Picasso’s in the Promenade Shopping center. Great brands she carries!
i am up there all the time for Nordstrom Rack, but have never looked here before. the name is really old fashioned, so it threw me off. glad you told us the brands or i might not have ever gone in.
I’m not sure how I have missed this place, but I’ll have to stop by this weekend
Sounds like a good place to check out!
I seriously LOVE your blog! great finds!
I saw this In Arizona at the FBR Open and was so suprised the lines they carry. This is one of the best hidden secerts in the valley. I would for sure spend money witha local business to keep our community alive. Love that Coffee BEan is in same center!
i would go there for dressier stuff…like dresses and going out wear. not TOO much casual stuff – but def cute.
Where is this place I could not find it? I want to shop this weekend!
What a facinating article. I’m looking for an NLP expert to help with a project, could you help?
Love Carol and love her stuff.
