A Chanel show is always a surprise. Not just for the amazing clothes and accessories, but the venue and show theme is never just another fashion show of models parading down a runway.
Seasons past transported Chanel to a faux supermarket, art gallery and a feminist rally (just to name a few). For Fall 2015, Karl Lagerfeld transformed Paris’s Grand Palais into one glamorous casino.
The show began with an interesting twist, where Chanel-favorite celebs and glitterati like Kristen Stewart, Julianne Moore, Rita Ora and Lily Collins walked into the casino and tried their hand at Chanel-branded gaming tables in the center of the runway. Then, models emerged in short black wigs walking between the tables and slot machines clad in the season’s collection, which was full of skirt-and-jacket sets; boxy coats and luxe dresses made for business and after-hours parties.
Model and Lagerfeld muse Kendall Jenner closed the show as the couture bride, wearing a double-breasted white coat, slim trousers and a sheer shawl that effortlessly trailed behind her.
