Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has been tapped to kick off the summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 35-year-old Brazilian native will reportedly walk through a “futuristic gateway” during the opening ceremony at Maracanã Stadium.
Despite claiming retirement from modeling, Bündchen has been busy filming National Geographic’s docuseries “Years of Living Dangerously” that is centered around the deforestation of Brazil and taking part in the UN’s “Wild for Life” campaign.
Brazil is the first South American country to host the Olympic Games, which begin on Aug. 5.
