I’ve never been that crazy about Dooney Burke. Or celebrity-designed/endorsed lines for fashion company’s either. But the Hayden Panettiere line of clutches for Dooney Burke, debuting this month, is actually quite cute. The signature “Hayden” clutch, designed by Panettiere herself in collaboration with the label’s designer, Peter Dooney, is made from Italian calfskin with a 24-karat gold-plated lion head closure. (The lion head fastener is inspired by her astrological sign, Leo.)
The clutches are fully lined inside with a small pocket in the back and come in black, white, red, royal blue, hot pink and purple.
Panettiere, who is also the spokesmodel for Dooney Burke, also previously designed a bag for the Fall 08 Dooney Burke collection. The limited edition patent leather bag (below) comes in black, brown, green, red and white with gold hardware, cell phone pocket and inside key hook. I wonder if the actress will continue her designing foray into Fall 09? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
