She may have gotten a lot of flak in the past for her partying ways, but what is indisputable about this young socialite is her penchant for style. So it was only a matter of time before Nicole Richie forayed her passion for fashion into designing. This spring, she launched House of Harlow 1960, a boho-chic accessories line that includes cuffs, rings, necklaces and earrings, quite reminiscent of what Richie herself would wear.
In fact, despite being a new mom, Richie is said to be quite involved in the design process. “Nicole is designing everything herself,” says her partner, Rick Cytrynbaum to People magazine. “She’s totally devoted to this, and we’re creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her.”
I have to say, the line itself is quite lovely. And reasonably priced too. Not to mention that it’s super sweet Richie has named the line after her baby daughter, Harlow.
I’d easily snag just about every piece in the collection and am definitely excited to see more.
Here’s a preview of the line that’s currently available at shopbop.com:
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold plated Thick Stacking Ring, $18.
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated with pebbled leather inlay Aztec Bangle, $75.
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated pebbled red leather inlay Aztec Bangle, $75.
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated Feather earrings, $72.
House of Harlow 1960 leather-and-crystal cocktail ring, $70.
House of Harlow 1960 thick Palladium stacking ring, $18.
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated beaded necklace with faceted resin details, $125. (My favorite piece in the collection.)
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated riveted leather cuff, $65.
House of Harlow 1960 14-karat gold-plated Sunburst earrings with leather inlay, $28.
Can’t get enough of her jewelry line? Nicole Richie is also adding a line of accessories to include shoes, handbags, and belts to her House of Harlow 1960 line to debut in the spring of 2010. The starlet/designer has partnered with the makers of Earnest Sewn Jeans for the collection.
I, for one, am excited. Most anything Nicole Richie touches is super stylish and judging from her taste in jewelry thus far, I can’t help but think her line of shoes and handbags will be just as boho-chic as well.

I really like Nicole Richie’s style and these pieces are totally things she would wear. I especially like that you can mix and match different pieces, stack them together or wear them alone.
love her stuff! and it’s reasonably priced!
Cute stuff, I especially like that it is not priced absurdly either.
Très chic!
wonder if she’s gonna name her next line after baby #2 that’s on the way.
Paris, eat your heart out.
super cute – love accessories!!
why does she call it 1960? she wasnt even a thought back in 1960, and its weird that she thinks she has any connection to that era.
