Friday I got my review copy of Influence (sorry for the delay in posting about it) and today is its official release. I Googled it when working on this post this morning and was a bit surprised at the MK and AO bashing going on about it. Influence isn’t all about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; the duo sat down with some of the most visionary and talented artists, photographers and designers today to talk about what most influences them. You’ll find chats with tastemakers like Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Louboutin, Robert Lee Morris and Lauren Hutton dabbled with never-before-seen photos of the girls and what influences them. Says Mary-Kate, “Ashley and I interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others.” Regardless of your affections toward the twins, this coffee-table book is quite a good read, and an absolute must-have for the fashion obsessed.
