Now that we are a whole week into Fashion Month, we thought you might need a little break, because we know that hundreds of shows can get overwhelming! Though we are giving you a break from the shows we aren’t giving you a break from the fashion.
Let’s start with Jimmy Kimmel’s “Lie Witness News” segment, which pranked New York Fashion Week goers. If you’ve ever wondered how fashion people get such a bad reputation… this might give us some insight.
Asked about designers no one has ever heard of before (because they are fake, Eddie Munster ring a bell?) supposed fashion lovers claimed to have gone to their shows, seen pieces that have “good silhouettes,” and even agree that watermelon on model’s heads are normal Fashion Week occurrences. You can watch the video for yourself here.
Now that you’ve had a good laugh, we have a story that is a bit more inspiring. Move over New York Fashion week bloggers 12-year-old Isabella Rose Taylor needs to find her front row seat. Taylor has been designing since the age of 8, and lives by her motto “If art had legs it would be fashion.” We have to say, she is incredibly chic, and we would definitely sport her cool-girl designs.
Taylor isn’t just a prodigious fashion designer, she is also a successful painter (since the age of 3), and she also happens to be attending college! You go girl!
Check out all of her designs (sorry ladies they don’t come in adult sizes) at www.isabellarosetaylor.com
