New Scottsdale Fashion Square Retailers

It’s hard not to jump up and down whenever I think about the new Scottsdale Fashion Square expansion. I mean, the idea of Barney’s New York right down the street from my house is enough to make giggle like a school girl. (The new Barney’s is expected to open sometime in fall of 2009.)

In addition to the new Barney’s New York at Scottsdale Fashion Square, a bunch of other retailers and restaurants will be included in the expansion. Here are a few of the latest ones announced. Bear with me in your excitement, they’re pretty freaking fabulous.

A first-to-market store for Arizona will be included in the lineup called LTJ Arthur. LTJ Arthur includes men’s and women’s clothing, pajamas, Bermuda shorts, T-shirts, matching slippers and swimwear. Plus a full selection of children’s clothes as well. LTJ Arthur has been around since 1983 and started out as an underwear line that originated in Paris and gained notoriety for their 100% cotton boxer shorts with youthful designs and patterns. A Valley fave that’s coming to town is a new Ed Hardy store. The 1,900 -sq. -ft. store will carry shoes, eyewear, belts, jeans, jewelry, lingerie, bags, home goods and a kid’s line too.For more info, www.edhardy.com.

Expanding into a much larger 6,500 -sq. -ft.  location is the J. Crew store.

Probably the most exciting addition for me (and I know many of you) is the new 15,000 -sq. -ft. Forever 21 store that will be opening. I know, go ahead, start jumping for joy. It’s the first Forever 21 to come to Scottsdale and I absolutely cannot wait to mix and match my latest finds from Barney’s with some chic, trendy pieces from Forever 21.

“Scottsdale Fashion Square continues to be a very powerful draw for the world’s top retail concepts,” said Steve Helm, assistant vice president property management, Westcor. “As we count down to the fall 2009 introduction of Barneys to Arizona, we continue to ratchet up the high-fashion quotient at this incomparable property.”

  1. I always have mixed feelings about Forever 21. Sometimes when I go there I find a really great deal on something cute that I end up wearing all the time, but other times it all looks trashy to me. This one sounds like it will be pretty big though, so that’s exciting!

  2. love, love, love Forever 21. I get nearly all my jewelry at ForLove 21 at Scottsdale Fashion (people always assume my jewelry is pricey–so not!)–I’m so glad the mother ship will be there now, as well. I just hope, though, that they keep that store more organized than the other Forever 21s around the Valley. It is impossible to find something specific–I am constantly browsing. And with the New H&M in Scottsdale? man oh man!

  3. I’m so excited for Forever 21 and Barneys. I think I still will be making the commute to south Scottsdale! There are so many stores at Scottsdale Fashion Square. I feel like I never get everything done in one trip, and I have to go back for more, but they always so much of what I’m looking for!!!

  4. Chandler Fashion Center has the best Forever 21 in the state. I drive their from North Scottsdale and this is great to avoid the drive. Barneys now this forget the recessiona nd lets shop Arizona.
