Buffalo Exchange is celebrating its 50th anniversary with special weekend-long pop-up shops at all their locations on March 16 and 17. Shoppers can expect to hit the jackpot with these pop-up finds. Buffalo Exchange will be selling current trends, high-quality closet staples, in-demand designer brands and one-of-a-kind vintage items.
Each Buffalo Exchange location will be putting its own spin on the event with giveaways of limited edition Buffalo Exchange merchandise, tasty treats, raffles and fun additional events, such as live music, fashion fortune tellers and more.
“Buffalo turning 50 means so much to me,” says CEO Rebecca Block, daughter of founder Kerstin Block. “My parents started this business when I was just 9. My dad always had a goal Buffalo Exchange would reach 100 years—I’m beyond proud of them and of all of us for making it to this milestone. I’m excited to celebrate with all of our customers in the best way we know how—with clothing, style and all the fashion in between.”
It all started in a 400-square-foot shop in Tucson, Ariz., in 1974. Buffalo Exchange has since expanded across the country over the past 50 years, buying, selling and trading clothes, shoes and accessories. With over 40 locations in 15 states, founder Kerstin Block and daughter Rebecca, are proud of where they began and the impact they’ve left on the community.
“I’m so grateful for these past 50 years with Buffalo Exchange,” says Kerstin. “It’s given my life meaning beyond what I ever thought possible. What I’m most proud of is how much we’ve been able to empower people – especially women. That and the clothes. It’s always been about the clothes.”

Buffalo Exchange wants to keep its 50th birthday celebration going all year long. The store will be giving back throughout 2024 with 50 Acts of Kindness. From March 11–17, Buffalo Exchange will double donations to their Tokens for Bags Program. This gives shoppers a chance to give back to one of three local non-profits and to make a direct impact on their community.
