The past few days have been downright frigid, and I have found myself in layers upon layers of clothes, drinking any and every hot drink I can get my hands on, and promptly changing into my warmest sweats when I get home. My cold weather “routine” of sorts probably doesn’t sound much different from yours; however, I’ve also found myself spraying scents more appropriate for spring and summer in an effort to keep my spirits high and give me that ironically warm feeling. Because though the low temps may be a nice change for us Arizonians it can also be a bit gloomy. Today, I want to help you enjoy the rest of winter in a happy, calm, and bright place.
My go-to spring-in-winter scent as of late has been Vera Wang’s ‘Truly Pink’ unfortunately (well I guess fortunately for me) it has been discontinued, but Vera Wang’s signature fragrances will put in the same cheery mood.
A modern floral fragrance, Vera Wang is sensual and intimate. It is the fragrance of joy, passion and commitment. The first encounter with the fragrance is a flirtation that begins with calla lily, followed by a passionate kiss of gardenia and wrapped in a final embrace of sensuous floral nectar..

To keep out of the winter weather slump (wearing sweats all day, eating junk food, and watching Gossip Girl on Netflix) get active. My #1 way to stay active at home is to do yoga. After an hour of my favorite poses and stretches I feel calm, happy, and ready to tackle that to do list! To ensure that you’ll be in the cheeriest of moods after your practice choose the brightest and happiest yoga attire you can.
Skip the dark black, grey, or red manicure for something like *gasp* your favorite mint green. Every time you look down at your hands (i.e. when your in a serious text messaging convo) you’ll smile at yourself knowing you are totally breaking the winter manicure rules.
Brighten up that smile with your favorite whitening strips, mouthwash, or toothpaste… The more confident you are in your smile the more likely you are to smile which will not only brighten up your day but the day of those around you. Top off your new smile with a pop of color on your lips: coral, orange-red, pink etc.
