This season, skirts have a new attitude and we like it. No more boring work appropriate blouse and closed toed shoe combos (unless of course you have to) or too short too sexy minis. Instead, skirts are grabbing life by the horns, throwing caution the wind, and mixing it up with new laidback, but utterly chic and fabulous (and sometimes edgy) looks.
The chambray shirt is one of our favorite pieces to throw over a tee with a pair of jeans or over a maxi dress when we are running errands, but why not take it to the next level by pairing it with a dazzling embellished skirt. Throw on a pair of leather booties or your favorite heels and you are ready for a night on the town.

Maxi skirts scream comfort: they are soft, flowing, and keep you cool. And though the maxi dress has had endorsement after endorsement for being the perfect wedding choice, why not it’s sister the maxi skirt? Well, we want to change that. Pair a colorful printed maxi with a silk button-up blouse (white, emerald, red etc.), add statement jewelry and a clutch for a bit of a Spanish flair… Believe us, it will be your go-to outfit for any summer event.
Feeling like a fashionista today? Pair a pleated skirt that has a little volume (to create that oh so fashionable movement when you are walking the catwalk of life) with a girly tee. Yes, we said “tee”! What’s more stylish than mixing casual pieces with a bit of glamour? Fashion is, after all, about breaking the rules… And this is one rule we love to break.
Skirts are not first on the list of comfortable lounging clothes to pack for vacation (with the exception of maxi skirts). We might pack linen trousers, a pair of board shorts, or even some yoga pants. But, what if a skirt could be equally as comfy? Like this linen skirt paired with a slouchy sweater and a pair of comfy flats. The fabrics are soft, the look easy, and you can go from the plane to lunch or dinner with ease.
