We all know that fashion is cyclical, and that trends from old become trends new again. However, there is one trend that many thought and even hoped would never find its way back onto the streets. Overalls, originally invented to protect trousers and shirts from work related wear and tear, found their street style popularity in the 90s. Pop stars, models, and angsty teens alike wore the cover-all garments in a variety of colors, oversized, with cropped tops, and the really cool kids, with one strap hanging.
Thankfully the resurgence of this work wear to street wear trend has come with some dramatic and stylish updates! And in case you don’t believe me, here is a lovely picture of one of my favorite bloggers, Bonnie Barton from Flashes of Style proving just how, dare I say, chic they can be.
