Rebecca Minkoff is letting her fans decide what she should show down the runway during New York Fashion Week.
The designer will post two looks from her spring 2015 collection to Instagram Tuesday, Sept. 2. All you have to do is vote for your favorite look. The design with the least amount of likes will then be eliminated from the show altogether.
According to Minkoff, this consumer cherry picking will allow shoppers and Minkoff fans to directly “have a hand in creating what her new collection will be.” Even though a total look will be omitted from the collection, bits and pieces will still probably be used and styled throughout the rest of the collection.
Minkoff is scheduled to showcase her spring collection with the winning look the following Friday.
The designer is known for her innovative use of technology and social media engagement. Last season, she released an exclusive behind-the-scenes video to via the app Keek, while she was the first in the industry to utilize Snapchat the season before.
