For the first time in Best of Our Valley history, voting can win you big prizes!
When you vote in the Best of Our Valley contest you register your phone number via text message confirmation. If you vote in enough categories and enough times overall, you are automatically entered into a drawing that will take place after the contest ends on November 30th. Each registered voter can vote in each category once per day (twice per day if you are subscribed to our e-newsletters). The contest runs from noon on October 1st to noon on November 30th, so you have over 60 days to qualify.
There are nearly 400 categories in Best of Our Valley! That can be a bit overwhelming but it’s easy to find new categories that you know about and have favorites in.
Finding New Categories
The easiest way is with the Random button. On each category page you’ll find a button at the top that will take you to another random category. Landed on one you don’t know about? Just hit it again! You’ll quickly find something you can vote on.
From the main page you can browse our main sections like Arts & Entertainment or Food & Restaurants. Then you can find from a handful to dozens of categories within these interests.
Or you can search categories from the main page. Just start typing in the categories search box. For instance type “resort” and you’ll find many categories related to resorts that you can click on.
When you’re logged in, underneath your login information and above the vote button you’ll find the total number of categories that you’ve successfully submitted a vote in and the total number of overall votes in the contest that you’ve successfully submitted.

Vote in at least 100 categories and at least 1000 votes overall to be entered into this drawing.
2nd Prize
$500 in dining gift cards around the Valley.
Vote in at least 50 categories and at least 500 votes to be entered into this drawing.
3rd Prize
$100 Visa gift card.
Vote in at least 25 categories and at least 250 votes to be entered into this drawing.
Rules
One registration allowed per individual person. Employees and family members of AZFoothills and affiliates not eligible for prizes. Drawing will be done randomly. Odds of winning are determined by the number of entrants. No purchase necessary. Winners will be contacted by email first if supplied. If no email is provided we will attempt to contact via text message. If we do not receive a response within 2 days a new random entrant will be selected instead. By accepting the prize you give us permission to share your first name, last initial and city of residence as the prize winner.
