The Best of spotlight is on Emily and Rick of Emily’s Events, who claimed the Valley’s Best Wedding Planner. Congrats, Emily and Rick!
AFM: Please tell us a little bit about you!
Emily’s Events (EE): Husband and wife team behind our successful catering and event planning company for the past 11 years. Emily from Chicago and Rick from New York. We met in Scottsdale in 2003.
AFM: What does it mean to you to be a Best of Our Valley winner?
EE: It’s an Honor and very humbling to be recognized by the people we serve. It makes it all worthwhile.
AFM: What’s your favorite part about being the Best of Our Valley’s Most Influential in Valley Food?
EE: It gives us validation and gives our clients the confidence that they are selecting a qualified person to guide them through one of the most important times in their life.
AFM: What advice would you give to others to be the “best” in your field?
EE: Pay attention to your clients. LISTEN to them and be honest.
AFM: Have you seen any benefits as a result of being a BOOV winner?
EE: Absolutely! Business is booming.
AFM: How do you put your “best” foot forward every day?
EE: I try to remember why I started this in the first place. I guess for me it’s about aligning my mental attitude. I remember that I chose to do this and that I love what I do. And I try to rise to the daily challenge to be better because I know I can be.
