Best of Our Valley Spotlight: AZFoodie, ‘Best Food Feed on Instagram’

Each week, we’ll be highlighting individual winners from Best of Our Valley 2018, who share their advice, insights and thoughts on what it means to be a part of this exclusive list.

The Best of spotlight is on Diana Brandt of @AZFoodie, who claimed Best Food Feed on Instagram. Congrats, Diana!

Diana Brandt of AZFoodie

AFM: In a brief 2-3 sentences, please tell us a little bit about you & AZ Foodie —
Diana Brandt (DB:) Arizona Foodie started when Diana Brandt wanted to create a space on social media to share food pictures of all the amazing restaurants coming onto the scene 4 years ago. What started as a small food community of like minded food loving Arizonians, quickly grew into what it is today. Arizona Foodie is still a great place to find restaurant recommendations but is also great for finding food events, travel information, food products and so much more. It’ll always be a place where Diana gets to learn about new places to try and is able to share her favorites as well.

AFM: What does it mean to you to be a Best of Our Valley winner?
DB: It’s always so humbling to be recognized for anything because I’m just a girl that eats food and Arizona Foodie was just a place where I posted pictures of food. To win a Best of Our Valley title is amazing and let’s me know that people really love what I’m doing and who I’m supporting!

AFM: In your opinion, what is the best part about being the Best of Our Valley’s Best Food Feed on Instagram?
DB: Knowing that people love what I’m posting. I really want to showcase all that Arizona and more has to offer when it comes to food and it helps that my followers are enjoying it as much as I am. It shows that they are excited about the food scene too and how it’s growing.

AFM: How do you put your “best” foot forward every day?
DB: Sometimes it’s a conscious effort of making sure that I put my best foot forward because we all have ‘those’ days but for the most part, my ‘job’ as Arizona Foodie is a dream ‘job.’ Everyday I get to go eat and take pictures of delicious food, I get to go to amazing events with some of the best people, I have made some of my strongest relationships through the people I’ve met doing this ‘job’ and I get to travel to cities and take foodcations. Being Arizona Foodie makes it pretty easy to put my best food forward every day!
