Fittest Female & Best Trainer: Nikki Metzger, Owner, BODI; Nike Master Trainer; Women’s Health Magazine’s Next Fitness Star. Also a 2015 Winner!
Tell me about your day-to- day. Owning a gym, there is never a time I’m not working. My typical week, I wake up at 5 a.m. every day, teach two classes in the morning and two in the evening. In between, I’m working on administrative stuff, planning workouts and typically working on other projects with Women’s Health Magazine and Nike.
Why is physical fitness so important to you? I live and breathe fitness being a trainer and owning my own gym. But for me it’s more than just a perfect body. It’s a lifestyle. It’s about how it makes me feel and how much more energized, productive and positive I feel when I’m working out and taking care of my body.
Biggest professional accomplishment? Opening BODI and it becoming a super-successful gym in Scottsdale. Winning Women’s Health Magazine’s Next Fitness Star, which included me starring in and creating my own DVD, appearing on the cover of their magazine in summer 2015 and an eight-page spread in 2016.
