Congratulations once again to Scottsdale-based architectural firm Drewett Works for receiving three top honors at the 2022 Gold Nugget Awards, a prestigious competition that commends architectural design and planning excellence, drawing over 600 entries from around the world.
“Gold Nugget Award winners reflect our industry’s best, brightest, and most innovative architects, planners, and builders/developers,” says Judging Chairman and Gold Nugget Ceremonies Administrator Lisa Parrish. “We applaud them all.”
This year, Drewett Works was recognized for the Paradise Valley estate “Stone Radius,” which earned a Grand Award for Best One-of-a-Kind Home, a Merit Award for Best Indoor/Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home, and a Merit Award for Best Interior Design of a Custom or One-of-a-Kind Home.
Located in the Cameldale Estates Development of Paradise Valley, “Stone Radius” is recognizable by its low, linear architecture; distinctive white limestone cladding; and soft-arching curvature.
Designed to mimic the radius of the circular cul-de-sac on which it lives, the 6,200-square-foot home has few straight walls and a subtle curve so that almost every room has a view of the iconic Camelback Mountain.
White Freska limestone imported from Turkey adorns the outside of the house in various sizes and patterns, creating massive works of textural art and a calming ambiance.
Inside the home, glass walls, clerestory windows and high alder ceilings light up the open-concept public spaces, while gray and black detailing provide a sleek, modern balance.
With a warm neutral color palette inspired by the landscape surrounding it and elegantly furnished interiors, the home boasts seamless transitions indoors and out, making it an ideal living space in the Southwest desert.
