The American Institute of Architect’s (AIA) third-annual I Look Up Film Challenge invites architects and filmmakers to collaborate in bringing architectural stories to life, and Valley favorite PHX Architecture has submitted a film, “Desert Rising,” that is an ode to designing and building homes that are in harmony with the land and how the landscape influences great architectural design. “Desert Rising” also showcases a PHX Architecture abode (pictured above) that demonstrates how a home can fit into and highlight the surrounding desert environment.
PHX Architecture Takes Part in Third Annual I Look Up Film Challenge
The theme for AIA’s film challenge is Blueprint for Better and called for films that highlight projects and architects that are helping to change communities for the better.
“I believe architecture can impact our lives and the way we live and our environment,” PHX Architecture’s president, Erik Peterson I Look Up Film Challenge says. “It helps get the word out and educate community.”
Contest winners will earn exclusive screenings at the Architecture & Design Film Festivals in New York and Chicago, cash prizes and more. Through Oct. 6, you can even cast your vote for “Desert Rising” for the People’s Choice Award. View and vote for “Desert Rising” here. (Remember to vote before Oct. 6!)
