Forest Highlands Golf Club, Flagstaff’s premier mountain golf community for almost three decades, just finished a $6.75 million renovation to both of their on-site clubhouses. These clubhouses accompany the community’s award-winning Tom Weiskopf-designed courses: The Canyon Course and the Meadow Course.
“These renovations and the expansion of our facilities provide for Forest Highlands remaining one of the top private golf communities, not only in Arizona but in the United States,” says Forest Highlands General Manager, Bill Griffon.
The $7 million renovation of the two clubhouses was designed by Scottsdale-based Swaback Partners. They worked to enhance the outdoor spaces and take advantage of their beautiful, dramatic views by expanding dining and lounge areas on the wraparound decks.
“The renovation and expansion of Forest Highlands’ Clubhouses offered a great opportunity not only to update the facilities, but to continue to evolve the community’s lifestyle to be enjoyed not only for Golf, but for Life aprés Golf,” says John Sather, Senior Partner at Swaback Partners. “The completed collection evolved the Meadow and Canyon Clubhouses into true community gathering places for every member of the Forest Highlands community.”
The dining rooms were given a modern makeover for a more luxurious feel. The clubhouse added a children’s center, and the family recreation areas were expanded with amenities for everyone to enjoy. The clubhouses also upgraded their traditional amenities like fitness equipment, massage rooms, steam rooms, exercise rooms, locker rooms and more.
Following the clubhouse renovations, sales in Forest Highlands Gold Club have hit an all-time high as of August 2016 with nearly $23 million sold.
“Buyers come here and see how homeowners and members enjoy world-class golf, tennis, kid’s programming, pools, cycling and so much more at Forest Highlands. It’s more than just a home, it’s a way of life,” says Griffon.
