Each year, the Best of American Living Awards (BALA) spotlight the most creative and talented professionals in the building industry that are redefining design excellence for homes and communities nationally and internationally.
Drewett Works, an award-winning architecture firm in Scottsdale specializing in luxury residential, hospitality and commercial projects, was recognized with five honors during the 2022 Best in American Living Awards presentation on February 1, 2023.
Among its five winning entries, three were for Stone Radius, a contemporary estate in Paradise Valley, Ariz. The outstanding home’s 2022 Best of American Living awards included a Platinum Award under Single Family Production; a Gold Award under Interior Architecture and Design; and a Silver Award under Specialty. The architectural firm was also recognized with a Platinum Award for The Barn at Silverleaf and a Silver Award for Ellington Heights at Silverleaf.
Located in the Cameldale Estates Development of Paradise Valley, Stone Radius is recognizable by its low, linear architecture; distinctive white limestone cladding; and soft-arching curvature. The 6,200-square-foot home’s graceful design mimics the radius of the circular cul-de-sac on which it lives, creating subtle curves throughout and offering views of the iconic Camelback Mountain from almost every room.
The home complements the surrounding desert with a warm neutral color palette and elegantly furnished interiors to create a luxurious, yet calming ambiance. White Freska limestone imported from Turkey adorns the exterior walls in various sizes and patterns as massive works of textual art. Inside the home, glass walls, clerestory windows and high alder ceilings light up the open-concept public spaces, while gray and black detailing provide a sleek, modern balance.
Complete with seamless transitions between the indoors and out, Stone Radius offers ideal living in the Southwest.
