You know you want to make some renovations or, in the very least, some slight improvements to your home this year. But, where to start? And more importantly, what to do? Beginning tomorrow and lasting through the weekend, you can stock up on all sorts of fresh ideas for your home and outdoor living spaces at the Maricopa Home & Garden Show, located at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
As Arizona’s largest annual home show, the Maricopa County Home & Garden Show (taking place on Jan. 15, 16 and 17), not only includes the best “one-stop home improvement shopping” with some of Arizona’s most respected landscaping, remodeling, building and interior design companies, but it also includes many special features and guest appearances. Some of the attractions to this year’s event will be: appearances by Emmy Award winning host of HGTV’s “Designed to Sell,” Shane Tallant; appearances by 3TV’s Dave the Garden Guy; the 12th Annual Professional Landscape Competition; interior design room vignettes; free “how to” home improvement seminars; golf expo; garden pavilion; U of A master gardener seminars; National Association of the Remodeling Industry; plus, much more.
Have a specific home or garden question you’d like answered at this year’s show? Submit your question to “Ask the Experts” on the event’s Web site. Even if you can’t attend the show, you can still receive clarity on any interior design, remodeling, building or landscaping topic of your choice. Simply ask your question online and a professional will respond with a thorough and detailed answer.
In addition to the vendors and companies you’ll have access to, the event will also feature numerous live events from well-known home and garden experts. Some of the live shows you won’t want to miss are: “Controlling Pests in Your Garden” and “Preparing Your Spring Garden” by Dave the Garden Guy; Linda Cobb, otherwise known as The Queen of Clean answering all your tough cleaning questions; HGTV’s Shane Tallant making his first Phoenix appearances; “Steps to update and decorate using what you already have” by Divine Interiors; and the U of A Master Gardener Seminars, taking place all weekend long and focusing on different topics like “Growing Tomatoes,” “Soil Preparation” and “Citrus Selection & Care.”
Not only will you receive great ideas and inspiration for your own home at this year’s show, but you will also have the opportunity to receive Show-Only discounts and deals being offered by the hundreds of exhibitors.
Admission is $7 for adults and $2 for children 3-12 years old (kids ages 2 and under are free). Parking is $7.
