The City of Apache Junction and Brookfield Properties Development (the developer behind master-planned communities Alamar, Eastmark, and Blossom Rock) announced the completion of Painted Sky Park at Blossom Rock at Superstition Vistas in the East Valley. This is the city’s newest and largest park, marking a milestone as the first of its kind in the city’s history.
Miner’s Run is a 3.5-acre adventure playground within the park with climbing structures and walls, rope swings, slides, and more. Pets can have a journey of their own with the Ruff Ranch Dog Park, complete with three separate areas: activity, agility, and socialization.
“We’re excited to offer a significant number of amenities early in the development of Blossom Rock,” Dea McDonald of Brookfield Properties Development said. “With all the community amenities and features at Blossom Rock, we’ve put a lot of thought in their design to allow for social gatherings, as well as encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings.”
The park’s guests can reunite with nature outside Mesa with the 1.5-acre catch-and-release fishing lake or find solace while walking around the water. Families can bring out their competitive sides with various games: bocce courts, corn hole, outdoor chess, or table tennis. The park offers state-of-the-art amenities and will be adjacent to a clubhouse opening in Fall 2025 called The Dutch.
The Dutch is slated to be an 8,000-square-foot area set up for private events or community gatherings. Next door will be the Pool Pavilion, with two pools – one explicitly designated for kids and families – shaded lounge areas and ramadas. The park will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
To celebrate the opening of Painted Sky Park, the community is invited to the grand opening on November 2 for games and activities and to meet the neighbors.
The first phases of Ironwood Park and Ridgeline Trail Park are also complete. Ridgeline Trail, located just north of Painted Sky, will include basketball courts. At completion, these linear parks will provide connectivity within Blossom Rock and spaces for walking, jogging, and cycling.
“Because parks and trails are essential for creating vibrant, healthy, and connected communities, we made certain in our early planning efforts that we thoughtfully included public amenities for all Apache Junction residents in addition to the neighborhood spaces created for the new residents of this region,” Parks and Recreation Director Liz Langenbach said.
Blossom Rock at Superstition Vistas is located at the northeast corner of Ironwood and Ray Roads at 10075 S. Dutchman Drive and is part of the first phase of the long-planned Superstition Vistas master plan to reshape the Southeast Valley. Fifteen model homes are currently available to tour by Brookfield Residential, David Weekley Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes, and Tri Pointe Homes. For more information, visit www.blossomrock.com.
