Known for exceptional talent in preserving mid-century modern architecture while infusing it with fresh, contemporary elements, Boudreau’s reimagining of this historic property is a worthwhile stop for design enthusiasts.

Located in Old Las Palmas, this Palm Springs home was originally built in 1954 and later renovated by renowned architect Albert Frey. Boudreau and her team updated the landscaping and interiors while maintaining Frey’s signature architectural style, all while weaving in playful references to Adam West’s Batman persona: sleek, modern lines, warm tones, and bold black accents.

The living room, in particular, balances elegance and drama with marble details, warm wood finishes, and striking furniture pieces, like the custom-designed Kiruna Lounge Chairs. The result is a dynamic, sophisticated space that channels Batman while remaining rooted in mid-century modern design.

Vesta Home’s architectural silhouettes provide the perfect modern interpretation of mid-century classics, and with the business’s custom design capabilities, Boudreau was able to select unique furnishings that complement the home’s overall aesthetic.

Vesta played a pivotal role in furnishing the “Bat Cave.” Boudreau worked closely with Amanda Goodman, Vesta Senior Trade Account Executive, to customize key pieces. Here’s a closer look at some of Michelle’s room-by-room design choices:

Living Room: The Kiruna Lounge Chair takes center stage with its bold circular back cushion and sleek black oak finish, creating a chic mid-century modern silhouette.

Dining Room: The Xander Dining Chair stands out with its sculptural, geometric design and eye-catching custom upholstery.

Bedroom: The Rivoli Lounge Chair radiates retro 1970s glamour with its smooth curves, creating the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Kitchen: The Camden, Carnaby, and Piccadilly Barstools bring a dynamic flair to the kitchen with their chess-like shapes and sturdy forms elevating the space.

With access to over 6,000 products and an expansive range of fabrics and finishes, Vesta allows designers to create one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to each space’s unique needs. The company’s design services also include mood boards, 3D renderings, and immersive VR experiences, ensuring that every detail of the design comes to life exactly as envisioned.
