The Valley’s own Anna Nordqvist—who happens to be a 2017 Founders Cup champion and a two-time major championship winner—on her top five must-play Valley greens.
This is my home course in Scottsdale. It’s a fun time and has a lot of character. You truly can’t beat coming down the last couple holes during an Arizona sunset. Overall, I love the atmosphere and the facilities at this club.
The Mineshaft and The Other courses are both a fun challenge that test every shot in the bag, and The Bad Little Nine is a great nine-hole par-3 course that is incredibly tough and will test your short game to its limit. I love spending time out here because there is not one shot you can’t practice.

I found the greens very undulated and challenging, so it’s a perfect test for your approach shots. Mirabel is in the northern part of Scottsdale where it gets a little cooler, so it’s an ideal place to go when the warmer weather hits.
Wickenburg Ranch Golf & Social Club
I found this hidden gem while driving from Phoenix to Las Vegas. I was very impressed with the outstanding course design. This course has the most character as it has numerous ups-and-downs plus water to challenge your game.
I absolutely love the course at Superstition Mountain because it’s such a peaceful place outside of Phoenix. It’s always in top shape and the practice facilities are great out there.
