Though the Waste Management Phoenix Open is the talk of the town (taking place Jan. 28 to Feb. 3), here are two other can’t-miss golf event taking place in early 2019.
Feb. 22 and Feb. 23: 2019 Golf Tournament & Evening of Dreams Gala
Colleen’s Dream Foundation, a Scottsdale-based nonprofit that supports ovarian cancer research, recently created the Teal Tie Society, a men’s group dedicated to fundraising for the organization. This will be the first year for the men to host the annual golf tournament, held at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. The following evening, the gala is set to take place at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. Gala-goers can expect a hosted cocktail hour, a plated dinner and dancing the night away. Individual gala tickets are $400, while the Gala Table Host, or a table for 12 is $5,000.
March 19 to March 24: Bank of Hope Founders Cup (pictured)
The only LPGA tournament held in Arizona takes place at JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa’s Wildfire Golf Club. The players will compete for a $1.5 million purse, and the event is televised and will be broadcast in more than 160 nations across the globe.
